The FCC has posted a Public Notice regarding clarification of the PEWC rule – comments must be submitted by December 2, 2013
As many of you know, the FCC recently updated it’s Telecommunication Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) on October 16.
Since then, many mobile industry leaders have joined to asked the FCC to clarify it’s new “Prior Express Written Consent” (PEWC) rule. The question on the table: Whether or not SMS senders need to contact their existing subscribers and ask them to opt-in with the updated consent language. Continue reading
