How to save your Excel file as .CSV file in Office 2010 or Windows 7

 

1. Highlight mobile phone number column, and right click your mouse on it

2. Select “Format Cells…”. In “Number” tab, choose “Text” in “Category” section. Click “OK” to save it.

3. Click “Save As”

4. Save your file as “CSV (MS-DOX)” and click “Save”

5. Click “OK”

6. Click “Yes”

  • How to view your CSV file

[NOTE] Please do not open your CSV file by using Excel.

1. Find your CSV file, and right click your mouse on it, then click “Open with” – “Choose Default program…”

2. Click “Notepad” and click “OK” to save. If you want to check your CSV file by using Notepad since then, please tick “Always use the selected program to open this kind of file”

3. You will find the icon for your CSV file changes from MS Excel to Notepad, If you tick “Always use the selected program to open this kind of file”. You will see there are “0” in mobile phone numbers.

4. If you tick “Always use the selected program to open this kind of file”, you can just doulbe click your CSV file, then it will open it with Notepad, don’t need to go through the whole process again.
